Safe Oracle E-Enterprise Suite 12.2 with Authorized JSPs/Means


Oracle E-Enterprise Suite is delivered with JSPs and servlets. Most clients use only a subset of these provided assets. The Authorized JSPs or Authorized Means element makes it possible for you to reduce your assault surface area by disabling JSPs or servlets that are not used in your atmosphere. You can enable or deny assets at the family members, item or source level.

The Authorized JSPs element makes it possible for you to determine a whitelist of authorized JSPs for your Oracle E-Enterprise Suite 12.2 atmosphere. When enabled, accessing JSPs that are not configured in your whitelist is not authorized.

The Authorized Means element expands on the principle of the Authorized JSPs element and makes it possible for you to determine a whitelist of authorized JSPs and servlets for your Oracle E-Enterprise Suite 12.2 atmosphere. Your users will see an error message if a source is blocked by the Authorized JSPs or Authorized Means element.

Which EBS Releases contain Authorized JSPs or Authorized Means?

  • Authorized JSPs is delivered with Oracle E-Enterprise Suite Launch 12.2.4
  • Authorized Means can be enabled with Oracle E-Enterprise Suite 12.2.6+.
  • Authorized Means with a new consumer interface and recommendations to present simplicity of configuration is on by default with Oracle E-Enterprise Suite 12.2.7.
